Program Materials
The goal of the Remember Us Project is to have each bar or bat mitzvah student remember one individual child lost in the Holocaust. In support of this, we provide the following printed materials.
Instructions are provided through brief, simple materials for the teacher, the family, and the student. To see the materials for the Orthodox community, click here. For all other denominations:
For Clergy/Educators:
- Sample Memorial Page containing the name of one lost child and biographical information.
- Congregation Program Material Information
- Sample Invitation: For congregations that direct students and families to the online name request.
- Sample Message About Registering A Name: For congregations that distribute memorial directly to students
For Families:
- Parent Guide, a four-page pamphlet parents can use to decide on a child's participation and suggestions for family acts of remembrance.
- Limud: Sample customized booklet to order for your guests to explain how and why the child has committed to this act of memory. To share with guests at your simcha.
- Kavod: Sample Certificate of Participation: To honor your child's participation in Remember Us and their new role as a guardian of Jewish memory. The certificate will include your child's name, the name of the remembered child, and the date and place of the bar/bat mitzvah
